Since I landed my dream job; flying around the world as a pilot of a Boeing 777. I’ve been receiving a lot of questions from people who either dream of being where I am one day, or, are just curious about what goes on behind the Flight Deck door and what the life of a pilot is actually like.
I enjoy answering these questions, because like you, I once had the same questions. I was 19 years old, knowing absolutely no-one who worked for an airline, let alone a Pilot. But I still dreamed of flying the big jets. 10 years later, here I am.
I am an Australian, living and working in a foreign country as an expatriate pilot, for a major international airline.
In 2016 left Australia at 28 years old, after an 8-year Regional flying career in Australia.
I’ve always enjoyed flying and traveling. I also love to stay healthy, chase my dreams and inspire others to chase theirs too.
What I aim to create with this blog, is a space where I share my story and personal experiences. As well as giving some tips and answer your questions about aviation and my life and career as an international pilot.
If you’re starting or hoping to start a career in Aviation like. I say, go for it!
I hope my story can be an extra guiding light that will help you on your way. I’ll share the highs and lows, including the costly mistakes I made, so you may gain some of the same lessons and life experiences that I have, for free.
For everyone else, including my friends and family. I hope you enjoy an insight into my career and professional life and into an industry that we all love and enjoy that may still be mysterious to many.
These are my experiences, opinions, and point of view. Enjoy.
